Our weekly exercise session is a ray of sunlight to our group of stroke survivors. The Art and Crafts is a platform of fun brain storming activities. They get so much practical and emotional support from our stroke club. Much of the emotional issues of stroke arrive months later when the reality hits that you will never be the person you once were. If emotional problems are not addressed early, they can affect the stroke survivors ability to integrate back into family, work and community life. \that in effect can lead to more severe psychological problem for the stroke survivors and their carers.
Stroke remains to be one of the biggest health issues, UK’s third killer to date, to ever test mankind. Even after big strides towards the prevention of stroke: information campaigns which so impressed the Department of Health of England that they took the cudgels from us helping thus to spread this campaign to millions more, support services for stroke victims and patients as well as for those who are trying to rebuild their lives after the stroke, and research that helped to prevent or live through, and finally to move on after the stroke, there remains to be a 152,000 cases of stroke in the England each year.
FAST campaign – a strategy that would enable people to recognize the first signs of a stroke and what actions to take. But even after a lot of success, the reality is that there is still a lot of work to do. For one, we need to catch the attention of government to perhaps be able to get funding. But we need your help on this as well . We need the support of medical professionals and researchers because we believe that stroke needs serious attending to.
Information we share could help prevent stroke and to recover from it. Research helps save lives and allows the stroke victims to rebuild it and to move on. For there is life after a stroke. But only when we’re together on this can we really make a big change. “Stroke is bad enough but together we can make a difference.”
